About pikunelo
pikunelo is a free, browser-based tool for making product photos for online listings: removing backgrounds, choosing a clean backdrop, adjusting margins and exporting images sized for different marketplaces. No account is needed and no watermark is added.
Who runs this site
pikunelo is a small independent project. The site and its guides are published under the name pikunelo.
How the tool works
Photo editing, including the optional AI background removal, is designed to run inside your browser on your own device. Your photos are not uploaded to our server or sent to an external image-processing service. The AI option downloads an open-source AI model to your browser the first time you use it. Details are in the privacy policy and the open-source notices.
How we make the tool and the guides
pikunelo is built with the help of AI tools. They are used for programming, for drafting the guides and for checking the guides against the tool's code and behavior. The site operator reviews each guide before it is published. We do not publish test results we have not carried out, and we point out known limitations of the tool.
How the site is funded
pikunelo is free to use. There are currently no ads on this site. In the future, we may show ads served by Google AdSense on the guide pages to cover running costs. We plan to keep the photo editor screen itself free of ads. Before any ads appear, the privacy policy explains how advertising cookies are used and how to opt out.
Independence
pikunelo is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify or any other marketplace. Marketplace presets in the tool are unofficial starting points and do not guarantee that an image meets a marketplace's current rules.
